Bio-based material – what it means and what it does not
According to the manufacturer the cup is made from bio-based material from renewable sources, is 100% recyclable and BPA-free, and is made in Germany. Our product data lists the material as PP plastic. Worth knowing: "bio-based" describes where the raw material comes from – it does not mean compostable. This is a reusable plastic cup that can be recycled at the end of a long life.
In use: coffee, tea and stacking
The lid keeps the drink warm for longer and makes it easy to carry, but the cup is single-walled – it is not a thermal mug and not leakproof. Cups and lids both stack, which keeps storage in a kitchen or at an event simple. The cup is dishwasher safe; to preserve the print, the manufacturer recommends hand washing.
