Tyre-pattern grip and construction
The double wall keeps a drink warm longer and the outside more comfortable to hold than a single-walled cup. The outer layer is made from recycled plastic. It comes with a twist-on lid. The tyre-pattern silicone grip gives a firm hold and makes it stand out from an ordinary coffee cup. It complies with EN 12875-1 (dishwasher resistance) and is dishwasher and microwave safe. BPA-free and made in the UK; according to the manufacturer each tumbler is packed in a home-compostable bag.
Use and heat retention
The double wall slows cooling and keeps the outside comfortable, but this is not a vacuum-insulated flask – the manufacturer does not publish hot/cold hours. It is intended for hot drinks such as coffee and tea. The twist-on lid keeps the drink in, but the tumbler is not leak-proof and should not be carried on its side in a bag.
