RPET and RCS – what do they mean?
The canopy is 190T RPET pongee polyester. The product is RCS-certified (Recycled Claim Standard), which verifies the origin of the recycled input and its traceability through the supply chain. According to the manufacturer, recycled material makes up 18% of the total material – the frame, shaft and grip are not recycled, so the umbrella is not fully recycled.
Construction and use
The frame is fibreglass, the shaft metal and the grip soft foam; it opens with an automatic telescopic mechanism. A Velcro strap keeps the closed umbrella neat. Weight 300 g.
