Borosilicate glass and taste

The bottle is made from 100% borosilicate glass that adds no aftertaste and is BPA-free. The manufacturer states it is tested under the German LFGB food-safety law and for phthalates under the EU REACH regulation. As a single-wall glass bottle it is not insulated and is meant for room-temperature or chilled drinks.

Neoprene sleeve and lid

The removable neoprene sleeve cushions knocks and gives a secure grip; the screw lid has a bamboo top and a carry handle. The manufacturer says the bamboo comes from responsible sources. With sleeve and lid removed, the glass bottle is dishwasher safe.

Isn't a glass bottle too fragile?
Borosilicate glass is tougher than ordinary glass and the neoprene sleeve absorbs minor knocks. It can still break if dropped on a hard surface.

Does Thor keep drinks cold?
No. It is single-walled and not insulated; the sleeve mainly protects the glass and makes it comfortable to hold.
