Logo Design, Visual Identity and Print-Ready Artwork
A company logo and its visual identity should work together, but each element must also remain recognisable on its own. A strong brand can often be identified through its colours, typography, imagery and tone of voice even before the logo appears.
Logo.ee is the customer-facing promotional products platform of Logotrade OÜ, established in Tallinn in 2004. We help companies adapt their brand identity for promotional products and corporate gifts, packaging, printed materials, workwear and event merchandise.
What is visual identity?
A visual identity is the complete system used to present a company consistently. It usually includes:
- the company logo and approved logo versions;
- brand colours and colour specifications;
- typography and text hierarchy;
- photography and illustration style;
- graphic elements, icons and patterns;
- layouts for digital and printed materials;
- rules for applying the identity to products and packaging.
A logo identifies the company, while the wider visual identity helps people recognise and remember the brand across different situations. You can read a broader definition of corporate and visual identity on Wikipedia.
Why does consistent visual identity matter?
Consistency makes a brand easier to recognise across websites, advertisements, packaging, social media, workwear and promotional merchandise. Every customer touchpoint should feel like part of the same company.
Good design is not simply decoration. It supports a clear message, guides attention and helps the audience understand who the communication is for. The strongest solution is not necessarily the most complicated one. A simple design can work extremely well when its proportions, colours, typography, contrast and production method have been carefully considered.
For physical products, the design must also work within the available branding area. A detailed logo that looks excellent on a large screen may need to be simplified for a pen, keyring or small embroidered surface. Our advertising and branding services help match the artwork to the product, material and production technique.
Logo design and artwork for promotional products
Before production, we check how the logo will appear at its final size and on the selected material. Depending on the product and artwork, a suitable method may include:
- pad printing for smaller or curved products;
- UV printing for detailed full-colour graphics;
- laser engraving for durable branding on metal, wood and selected other materials;
- embroidery for clothing, bags and textiles;
- screen printing, DTF or heat transfer for larger textile designs.
The correct method depends on the material, surface, print area, number of colours, required durability, order quantity and deadline. We prepare a visual proof for approval before production.
What files should you send?
For the most accurate result, send the original vector logo in PDF, AI, EPS or SVG format. Fonts should be converted to outlines, and official colour values should be included whenever possible.
Please also provide:
- your brand guidelines or visual identity manual;
- the intended product or product link;
- required logo placement and approximate size;
- Pantone, CMYK, RGB or HEX colour values;
- final approved text;
- required quantity;
- delivery deadline and destination.
If only a low-resolution JPG or PNG file is available, we will assess whether it can be used or whether the logo should first be recreated as a vector file.
Can Logo.ee create a new visual identity?
Yes. A new logo or complete visual identity begins with a separate brief covering the company, audience, positioning, competitors, markets, preferred style and required applications.
The finished visual identity may include logo versions, colours, typography, graphic elements and practical usage rules. The exact scope, revision rounds, deliverables, schedule and price are agreed before the design work begins.
Before selecting or registering a new company mark, it is also sensible to check whether similar marks already exist. The European Union Intellectual Property Office explains how European Union trade marks work, while the World Intellectual Property Organization’s trademark guide provides a practical introduction for businesses.
From visual identity to branded merchandise
A brand identity becomes valuable when it can be applied consistently in real situations. Logo.ee can help carry the same visual system across:
- customer and employee gifts;
- event merchandise and giveaways;
- branded clothing and workwear;
- drinkware, bags and office products;
- packaging, labels and printed materials;
- individually designed and custom-made products.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a logo and a visual identity?
A logo is the primary identifying mark of a company. A visual identity is the wider system of colours, typography, imagery, layouts and graphic elements that makes the brand recognisable across different channels and materials.
Can the same logo file be used for every product?
Not always. Different products and branding methods have different technical requirements. Small print areas, curved surfaces, embroidery and engraving may require an adapted version of the original artwork.
Do I need a vector logo for printing?
A vector logo is strongly recommended because it can be resized without losing quality. PDF, AI, EPS and SVG are the preferred formats. Some high-resolution raster images may be suitable for digital printing.
Will I see the design before production?
Yes. We prepare a visual proof showing the agreed logo position and approximate size. Production begins after the artwork and order details have been approved.
Can Logo.ee help if my logo file is not suitable?
Yes. We can inspect the available file, make minor production corrections or prepare a separate quotation for vectorising or rebuilding the artwork.
Where does Logo.ee provide its services?
Logotrade OÜ provides design and promotional-product services from Tallinn, Estonia. We coordinate projects for customers in Estonia and arrange delivery to agreed destinations across Europe.
