The most popular choices are the beach flag, also called a teardrop flag, and the feather flag, whose straight, curved or sail-shaped edge keeps your message high. How to choose an advertising flag

• Location: indoor or outdoor, viewing distance and ceiling height.
• Wind: exposed spots call for a smaller flag and a heavier base.
• Base: ground spike for grass, cross base with water bag for hard surfaces, car wheel base for car parks.
• Print: single-sided (mirror image on the back) or double-sided with a blockout layer.
• Kit: on some products the price covers the printed flag only; pole and base are chosen separately.

Background: print technology and standards

Flag fabric is usually printed with dye-sublimation, where heat bonds the ink into the fibre so it does not crack. For indoor fabrics, reference is often made to class B1 of the German standard DIN 4102-1. Environmental claims about recycled fabric fall under Directive (EU) 2024/825.
